My name is Mary Williams and I started this outreach in 2019. I minister to women in Macomb County Jail and Huron Valley Prison. I minister to women doing life without parole or other very long sentences. I know from experience how these women feel. I found Jesus while incarcerated. It was through Christians bringing God's word to me in jail that truly changed my life. I believe that in order to make a difference in these women's lives that I should reach out to them after they are arrested and booked in the Macomb County Jail. I am also present in the courtroom to support the inmates and their families as they go through the sentencing process. Prison ministry is one of the purest forms of unconditional love. Jesus says that we should love people where they are and not wait until they are out of trouble to love and help them. I am passionate about my ministry!
