Holy Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist window was given to Grace church in 1930 in commemoration of our 60th anniversary of our church building. It was given by the Vestry of Grace Church..

The Chalice and Cross symbol signifies always the agony in Gethsemane recalling the words of Jesus in His prayer, as recorded in Luke 22:12, 20 "Then Jesus took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.."

Perhaps the lack of historical information related to this window was intentional, or perhaps we should be content with only the inscription on this window, which says:

This Cup is the New

testament in my

blood: this do ye in

remembrance of me.
